The University of Patras, which is the third Higher Educational Institution in the country in terms of student number, academic departments and personnel, has planned and built within the University Campus the Conference and Cultural Centre aiming at contributing towards a better and more effective organization and management of scientific and other conferences, as well as towards the further cultural development of the greater region of Western Greece. It is the University’s ambition that the Centre becomes a pole for international conferences and the main tool for the development of the cultural life of the region.
The Conference and Cultural Center is an autonomous meeting and exhibition complex of spaces. It is built on a 6 acre area of the University Campus, and has two levels with a total surface area of 9.300 m2 and may host up to 2000 participants. The Conference and Cultural Centre includes: a Main Hall of 930 seats, a 250-seat Auditorium, four Halls for parallel meetings (one of 120 seats and three of 75 seats each), four Seminar Halls of 50 seats and four of 45 seats, a 200 m2 Hall for multiple use, and a two-level reception area with a total surface area of 1100 m2.
